Background information on Congress Frankfurt
Congress Frankfurt is a part of Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt GmbH. Its tasks involve marketing the exhibition grounds for conferences and conventions. Congress Frankfurt is a service provider offering customized solutions for event organizers. Congress organizers may choose from a selection of facilities, including the Congress Center, the historic Festhalle, the Forum and the Portalhaus, as well as the exhibition halls. In all there are 80 convention and meeting rooms with a total seating capacity of 22,000 as well as additional exhibition areas. The largest room can accommodate 9,500 people, whilst the largest conference hall, which is extremely versatile, has space for 2,200.

Messe Frankfurt is Germany’s largest trade fair organizer with an annual turnover of 448.3 million euros and more than 1,600 employees active worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries, five branch offices and 52 international sales partners, giving it a presence for its customers in more than 150 countries. Events 'Made by Messe Frankfurt' take place at more than 30 locations around the globe. In 2010, Messe Frankfurt organized 87 trade fairs, of which more than half took place outside Germany. Extending over 578,000 m², the Messe Frankfurt fairground currently holds ten exhibition halls plus the associated Congress Center. The company is publicly owned, with the City of Frankfurt holding 60 per cent, and the State of Hesse 40 per cent, of the equity.
